Is my 20gal Over Stocked? You decide?

Wow!! I have seen a pleco at 10", but I had no idea they could get to be much larger than that!

max size for a common pleco is 20" FYI.

Any suggestions.

Make the 55 a planted amazon tank with 3 angels (one of them is the current angel) and the pleco as a starting point for stocking it, or just move the entire contents of your 20 into the 55 and go with smaller african cichlids like shell dwellers for the 20g.

if it were me, i would choose one of the species of tetra or the rasboras and return all the rest, then beef up the numbers to about 6-10 of just the one species. schooling fish do much better when there's only one species and as large a group as you can fit. then let the rams be the centerpiece fish.
