I have a pink square anthius, i've had them for quite sometime almost two years. I knew he was a male because obviously he had a very deep purple/pink color and of course a pink square. I've noticed within the last few months his pink is beginning to fade and turn orange...now, I know females are orange does this mean he is turning back into a female? My water quality is great and he eats a wide range of things , so it cant be diet. what do you guys think?

I'd be pretty surprised to hear it . Normally sexual dimorphism only goes in one direction as far as vertebrates go. Could he just be getting old and his testosterone levels be starting to drop as he leaves his reproductive phase? Keep, in mind on the reef the dominante animals tend to live pretty fast.
Just a thought
