Is my Neon Prego???

She's huge...

she' s getting bigger and aggressive toward the other neons.....really doesnt want to let too many around her....when they come around she chases them off...she's just kinda chilling ....doesnt like her pic taken and i am trying to avoid stressing her ...just in case ....lights off for now...

wow... that thing is huge hahahah. I don't know it just looks so funny to me lol. Try to add some java moss or a spawning mob, I'm not a negative type so I hope they spawn for you. Fish are known to breed in conditions that have nothing to do with their natural habitat. Nice looking neons btw.
 
There is 4 golf ball size java moss balls in there....I cant believe she keeps getting bigger...It looks really funny ....
 
Ok ok.....so she is thin now and there are all kinds of clear bubbles on my heater ....are those eggs???what color are neon eggs??? and i bet the heater is certain death yes???
 
also, how do i know the eggs have been fertilized??? some websites say to remove the fish after fertilization ....so they dont get eaten....i am wondering if thats why i only have like 60 eggs ,,,,or will she lay more....she is thin though...
 
Yes eggs are clear, sounds like she laid. Yeah the heater will be certain death, but the eggs most likely are not "alive" to begin with - fish eggs are (for most fish) not fertilized until after they are laid. As others said, it's relatively common to have neons lay eggs, but very rare for them to be fertilized to actually get fry in the home aquarium.
 
ok...i thought it was common for them not to lay the eggs i was under the impression they would just get chubby and then be thin again but i guess the chubbiness has to go somewhere.........ok so yeah they laid, just no survival...oh wel
