he had some disease on him as I have lost four of my 6 tetra's in the past day and a half, I'm assuming that the other's won't make it through to tomorrow, i did a water change, but they are still dropping off. next time i'll stick to oto's.

Swimfast, I believe he had a disease, I'm really curious did the LFS give you any clue as to what it was. There's a couple of us here that are interested in that.

I agree..bn's are much better at consuming algae..it is their main diet.

Swimfast, you might want to make sure you get everything under control before purchasing ottos. They aren't the easiest fish to acclimate to a tank.

the lfs had no idea what the problem was, they gave the fish a brief glance but then just offered me a new one. I told them that i wanted to wait a week to make sure the tank was OK. I am leaving town for a while, my roomate is going to watch over the tank, hopefully the other two can survive.
