I was just wondering what everyone thought of my tank. Is it about full right now especially once everybodies full grown? Or could I afford to add an otto or an amano shrimp to help control some brown algea growing on the back piece of glass?
Current inmates include:
1-blue dwarf gourami
1-flame dwarf gourami
1-german blue ram
2-cory cats
2-bumble bee gobies (yes I know, but thats besides the point)
8-white clouds
Plants:
1-java fern
1-anacharis
2-anubius Fenzie's (something like that)
couple fake plants
There is a link to pics in my sig.
I have a 29 gallon aquarium, and right now I'm satisfied with the stocking level and wasn't planning on getting any more fish, but seeing that brown stuff on my glass is really getting annoying.
Thanks in advance.

that brown stuff on the glass is probably algae. if you dont want it just get a pleco, algae eater or snail to clean it up and that would stock your tank for good.

I was thinking maybe just one otto. And, because, I don't have a brackish tank for them and neather does the lfs. I've kep't bumblebees before in fresh water with no problems, and my dad has done the same since I was a little kid. I just want to stay on topic and get an answer to my question and not have everyother member crucifying me about a fish that they've probably never kept before.

No they aren't schooling fish but they are definatly social. Most people have problems with keeping them alive their first week in the tank but if they survive that then you're good to go. Yeah do some reasearch;)

I've had just one Otto before, and now have two. Nothing "happens" if you only keep one. But I'm finding with the two (algae disappears faster ;)), they're more active, and they do hang out together almost all the time. I'm not big on attempting to make fish "happy" but having two in there, they do seem "happier." :) I don't know how well snails clean algae, but I'd recommend one of those if you won't go for more than one Otto. :)
