Is my tank full yet?

my only concern is that two or more fish in my tank would overstock it. And I hate snails, so that's out of the question. I was also considering an amano shrimp or cherry shrimp to have something a little differnt, but I heard that they don't eat brown algea to well. What do you guys think?

To clean for algae there's nothing like a pleco. But, they can grow too much. I think your tank still can hold a couple of ottos.

Lastly, you can clean the algae with a magnet cleaner. They are cheap, easy to use and you don't need to worry about rising the stock.

Hello,

I'm also looking for some bottom feeders other than Plecs since they do get large. What are ottos and what do they look like ? I can't find a link anywhere for them.

Thanks,

James

They look like tiny plecos. They are a tiny catfish and are usually gray with a black peppered body. Google them and you'll find them.

you could always go for a good old bristlenose as they dont get too big and do just as good a job as a regular pleco minus the massive amount of waste produced and you will only need 1

more like brown algea eating MACHINES!!! i got 2 and cant believe how much they eat,its really amazing. My whole setup is covered with brown diatoms being new and all and these guys just attack it.I can now see my rocks and background again.I guess if they start eating right away they should survive.I'll never use a common pleco again. :D
