Is my fish pregnant?


It's fat like that from 1 or 2 weeks. Sorry about the crappy shots but these pics are the best i could take, i'll try to shoot it with background light so if there's any fry their eyes would be visible.

Could be. Could also simply be constipated. Try feeding a blanched and shelled pea, as that will at least rule out constipation.

i have three male swordtails, i had another female swordtail but it died during pregnancy. The males chase her constantly, so can you tell me guys when is she going to give birth?

Well, it is a female livebearer, so chances are it is, lol. Seriously, though, the body patterning make sit difficult to be sure if that is a darkening gravid spot in the side views or simply the pattern of the splotching - but my money is on yes.

Guys, the fish is getting really large, i haven't fed her in bout 30-38 hrs but look how enormous she is


Should i set up separate tank (i have all the stuff for a separate tank) and put her in?

if you are having harassment problems ..like males chasing females to death, than your ratios are off..you need 2-3 females for every male of they will end up trying to breed them to death.
