Thanks everyone. I just wanted to be sure. Until I fell in love with this guy, Algernon, I never knew there were so many types. Algernon has more personality, and looks too, than all my other fish. I've had him about five years and he's gone from 3 inches to twelve.

He should actually be bigger. What size tank do you have him in?

planetcatfish says pardalis gets about 13.8". not too far off. . . . .

Well, I was guesstimating--he could be 13 or 14 inches. He's in a 55 gal tank.
