I found this one for sale...I have a 55 gallon FOWLR, and it said that this is for a 15 gallon, but there is no way anyone would cram all this in a 15 gallon tank. This sounds about right for my tank. Does anyone agree?

Oh, forgot to add i have a deep sand bed in my tank.

10 astrea snails
10 dwarf blue leg hermits
3 scarlet reef hermits
6 cerith snals
6 black turbo snails

sounds good, but you could get a little more.

here is the 30 gallon:

20 astrea snails
20 dwarf blue leg hermits
5 scarlet reef hermits
10 cerith snals
10 black turbo snails

Is this too much?

oh I tought you were talking about a 55G... if it's a 30G, the pack you mentioned orginally would be best.

No, I am talking about a 55 gallon tank. The second crew I mentioned is recommended for a 30 gallon tank.

Would that 30 gallon crew be a good size for my 55 gallon tank?

Sorry, I should have been more clear about that

yeah.... I think the 30G crew would be better, maybe subtract a bit from it.

you really don't need as many cleaners as most of these packs say.

ok fishcatch... question for ya... relating to this very subject... true that ya may not need the whole "package", but would it hurt anything to get that many? i had this very question when i first heard about any kind of "reef cleaner package"... saltwaterfish.com has a "20-55 gallon Reef Package"... it includes (get ready for this one:) 10 scarlet hermitcrabs, 10 blueleg hermit crabs, 10 nassarius snails, 2 brittle stars, 1 coral banded shrimp, 3 emerald crabs, 20 turbo snails, and 2 cleaner clams... that totals out to be 58 inverts... ok, now for liveaquaria... reef cleaner pack, and this is for 55 gallons specifically... 15 trochus snails, 11 super tongan nassarius snails, 22 cerith snails, and 18 scarlet reef hermit crabs... that's 66 in all... when i first looked at these packages, i thought they had so many because of "natural selection", meaning that some may die during shipping, and they wanted to make sure you still had a good bit left over... i have to admit though, i like saltwaterfish.com's deal, because there's a much bigger variety, which IMO would make the aquarium look better... but i may ... JUST MAY end up getting "the package" from the website ... well shoot, i can't remember it, but its tampabay something... they sell a complete package that includes livesand, liverock, and a bunch of reef cleaners, depending on what size tank you choose...
