I just need some assurance .
(i have a spare 10 gl. if it isn't)

25gl :
4 rosy barbs
9 neon tetras
4 harlequin rasboras
2 small congo tetras
1 golden algea eater.

(i just got the congo tetras, 2 for $5!!!)

thanks. yeah the algea eater is a bit of pain. He chases all the fish around a bit, but whats he gonna do, suck em to death? ( i heard plecos do that though. man, what a way to go). but that lazy thing doesn't cause much trouble.

thanks for the response!

The goldens are cool. Housed one for a friend and it was an interesting addition to the tank.

Yeah the GAE actually will "suck them to death". I'd stay away from it. There are better choices for Algae, some Ottos, a true SAE or some of the smaller plecos.

sounds good, but if u expect the GAE to rid your tank of algae, its not gonna happen (i suggest a pleco) also, my friend had one, it chased around the other fish, which got really stressed and died

Im going to have to disagree... congo tetras and rosy barbs both get a little large for a tank that small. My congos are about 3" and my rosy barb is 2.5-3". It would be fine for a while but eventually something else is going to have to happen. In my opinion... but I could be wrong!
