Is this ammonia okay to use for tank cycling?

This is the stuff I went and looked at today.

I can't find any other ingredients other than the 10% ammonia. Has anyone else used this ACE brand ammonia before?

If this won't work, then I officially have no place near me that sells the stuff. That means I'd have to order some, or buy some off of someone.

I think it would be fine, but you'd need more of it. Is there a Wallace or target or wallgreens nearby? They sell ammonia.

thats what i use to cycle my tank... be carefull it is VERY strong... its 10 % ammonia Hydroxide not ammonia. I have a 20 Gallon Long and 2 tsp is PLENTY to get the tank started cycling

Most people say to shake it up, and see if it lathers...and if it does, it's the wrong kind because it has surfactants. That is neither here nor there though, practically all ammonia will bubble slightly.

The Ace Brand Janitorial Strength ammonia is perfect. I know from experience it's pure and works beautifully . As the other member said...it is very strong so dose slowly.

make sure its pure ammonia and has no cleaning agents in it
