I have a 55 Gallon 48l x 21d x 12w and i am planning on changing it over to a planted community tank. I just want to research all my options to see what is possible and to give me some options depending on what my price range is going to be (i'm not sure what that is going to be yet.. here is a layout of what i thought could work. but am not sure is this is enough light or if there is a better way to set the lights up to get more out of them. I plan on running co2 and dosing ferts. I already have a 48" light with reflector so i'm definitely going to use that. thanks in advance.

i'll look into that thanks for the pic and link.

That is plenty of light for a good variety of plants. If the bulb is between 5400k and 12000k the plants wont care. Pick a color combination that pleases your eye.

The flora-glo's are 2800k

thank mg. that's probably what i'll end up doing.
