Is this fish rare?

I have to say that drawing is much better than anything I could do, whether on the computer or by hand. If I had tried that it wouldn't have resembled a fish at all!

I'm glad I could help. I always love the "guess the fish" posts and this is the first time I've tried to identify one from a drawing. Emperors aren't all that rare, but they are very nice fish. Some day I'd like to get a few of the Royal Blacks.

Let me just say to those of you who could not resist taking a shot at the picture, which I explained in detail as to why it was so poor, are pretty pathetic.

Sorry, but because it is censored, attempts to get around the censor are frowned upon. The censors are in place because of complaints from those with children who surf. If it can't be said without cursing, it really doesn't need to be said here. OG

The picture was good enough to serve it's purpose (identifying the fish in question). Isn't that all that matters? :huh:

It is pretty funny too! Personally I don't think it's any kind of statement about you pwrflpills (especially considering your problems with your optic mouse, etc.), I appreciate the fact you made me laugh and appreciate being able to escape from the grind of my work and smile for a few minutes. :laugh:

pwrflpills, I don't think that anyone here is trying to laugh you to scorn or to ridicule you. Being graphically challenged myself, I didn't expect much from the drawing. If the art was just awful, it would not have been memorable. But that is one funny fish. I especially like how you made him smile. I'm proud to have similar art grace the walls of my home.

graphicdesign_r, you should be ashamed of yourself. You made my side hurt with your drawing. You could injure someone with art like that.

Sorry, I used to be more mature. But with all my kids, I think I'm outgrowing it.

How can you have Peter Griffin in your Avatar and not be able to take a little humor at your expense :confused: I have to say that Graphicdesiners pic is what sent me over the edge that was great.
 
Personally, I rather enjoyed the picture too ! I have tried drawing pics on paint with just about as much success as Puff exhibited here, maybe less !....lol.....and I happen to be a pretty good artist in my own right....when using a pencil and my own hand that is.

Paint is a very difficult program to render anything with except, of course.....really good circles, ovals and perfect angles.....now THAT's something I can do better on paint !! :D

Puff, truely, no harm intended at all......and if it were my drawing I'd laugh right along with everyone else.....I'm sorry that your feelings were hurt and hope you except the appologies offered and not become discouraged here. Sometimes we do go a bit overboard I think.. :huh:
 
Ya, hey, it's just that I asked for an ID and for everyone to NOT make comments about the drawing...and commenting on and "laughing at" the drawing was all anyone, except for a couple people, did.

So it was a little frustrating since I was sincerely interested in saving a potentially rare fish and everyone was just poking fun at the topic. I'm not bitter. ;) I'll try to shake it off. :rolleyes:
