Is this fish real?

I found this picture in an article on fish illnesses along with several pictures of fish i have seen in pet shops and had/have in my tank. May be a computer manipulated critter. Thanks for looking in.

The colors may be enhanced a little through a software program. That looks like a gudgeon to me.

I agree with Saram, looks like an Empire Gudgeon. Might have been cleaned up a little, but I see no reason to believe major manipulation has occurred.

Everyone's right, its a male Empire Gudgeon (Hypseleotris compressa). Females lack the red colouring so they are easy to sex. I'd say the photo is a bit enhanced but not much, in the right lighting and with a good photographer they can look almost as good as that.
