Is this HITH?

Hi, Alexandrian. I'm so glad your Oscar is better. This forum is a great place for help and encouragement. I'm glad I could help in some way, and you are most welcome.

Keep up the good work keeping them happy and healthy. Keeping their water pristine will help them tremendously.

I know your Oscars will be happy when they get their new larger tank. I think Oscars are such cool fish. They are very intelligent and have a lot of personality.

Keep us posted with more pictures of your good looking Oscars when you can.

The need for clean water cannot be overstated and from the wide shot it looks like you do pretty decent job of it. I have had my Oscars receive injuries from fighting and I remove anything with sharp corners out of the tank. Because of the personality of them, I certainly understand your concerns for their health.

I would consider a 250L tank to be a bit small but if you have the footprint (48 x 18 or close) you should be ok. Just stay on top of your water changes to ensure the rapid healing of the injury.

As BFM stated, if the Oscar can get it in it's mouth, it's dinner!
