Is this Ich?? (pictures)

Speaking of Walmart, I found Melafix there...............and was half tempted to dump it into their tanks.

Do you have any pictures of or know of any websites with pics of what ich looks like because this is my first time having a fish tank of my own and one of my fish all of a sudden has white spots all over it. Im assuming from what everyone is saying it is ich but I dont have any pics of my fish to show you and ask.So if you could please give me a link to any sight that will show me pictures of fish with ich on them it would help me alot. Thats actually what I looked for in google was "pictures of fish with ich" and it brought me to this site lol. If not thanks anyways but im just a little concerned and I want to make sure it doesnt spread to my other fish.

Treatment for Ick?

What is a fast and GOOD cure for ick?
I have a clown loach who has it and am not sure what to buy. I hear that some cures are not good for small fish. My tank ranges from a large angel fish to small neon tetras. I don't want to harm the small ones while trying to cure the loach.
Can anyone offer some advice please?

I've had great success with the salt and increased temp treatment. My tanks are constantly at 80 F and I add aquarium salt during my water changes. I've never had ich in these tanks and I think it's due to my setup as far as temp and the salt additions.
I've had smaller tanks before and always had the temp kept at 76 F and never added salt. I battled ICH a couple of times when I had those tanks.
I don't like using any of the meds for ICH unless I really have to. The copper in them tends to kill off the beneficial bacteria causing mini cycles.
IMO add the aquarium salt and raise the temp to about 80 degrees. Some may say up to 82-85 but depending on the fish you have that may be too warm. Treat for a few weeks, only adding the salt for however much water you take out when you do water changes.

According to Dr. Ted Clark, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, it is ich. A pretty bad case.

A much finer white spotting almost like dust...finer than ich, more similiar to the consistency of talc...It may also be a grey or gold color...Thanks for making me do a little more research on these two diseases...Hope this helps someone...
