Is this normal??

Recently my Trinadad Pleco started to slingshot around the tank hitting the glass and the canopy. Outgrowing the tank? or needs to see a shrink?

I have a large 10-11" pleco in my 30g tank. I rescued it from my brothers old and forgotten tank. Mine has never bolted off and ran into the tank sides except when I startle it while gravel vaccing. I believe the trinidad can get to be around 1 foot long, so yeah, it could be fealing some crampness if it is getting on the larger size.
