Is this normal??
Recently my Trinadad Pleco started to slingshot around the tank hitting the glass and the canopy. Outgrowing the tank? or needs to see a shrink?

Tank is 29g
Fluval 204
660 Powerhead w/ sponge filter
7 Lemon tetras
4 White clouds
Pleco
Colombian shark

This thread and post looks very familiar. Did you post something identical to this earlier?

yea, in the Catfish and Bottom Feeders, goto noda. This behavior is concerning me alot

Tested water 3 Days ago, its good to go, other fish are happy i guess-all the others do is play in the current.

How big is he? My pleco was pretty mellow when he was smaller, now he's kind of a spaz too. Mine doesn't do it constantly or anything, but every once in a while, he'll go on a tear through the tank, kicking up anything in his path, plants, rocks, whatever. It'll last for like 3 seconds, then he settles back down on the bottom. That's how I end up with 10 ft long strands of poop hanging from the floating plants.

I don't recall him running into the glass though. *shrugs* Plecos are weird. I'd go for the shrink solution.

He's bout-8-9 inches. I know Plecs sometimes dart around the tank at times, but not like this, I believe "Butch" may be possessed.?! ha-ha

I'm no expert by any means, but I imagine that somebody that IS will tell you shortly that an 8-9 inch pleco in a 29g tank is probably not good. Could be wrong though.

Time to find him a new home. I wish I knew more fish keepers in my area, I don,t have the option to set up another larger tank because we are moving after our 8 months of winter are over.
