Okay I'm pretty sure this is okay but Just double checking. I plan (in the near future) to set up a 29 gallon tank and I have a penguin 150 bio wheel filter along with a whisper 10/30i. Is this enough filtration?

I also plan on putting in (after cycling of course) A Dwarf gourami, a school of Neon tetras, a few guppies and or mollies and maybe some shrimp and snails. Does this sound okay? Also how many neons? I know they need to be in a group of at least 6... Thanks so much for your help!

EDIT: I plan on putting live plants too...

Sounds good to me, I would start with a school of 6-10, then see if you can add more. Definitely cant wait to see pics!

This comes down to personal preference most of the time. But I would focus on maybe just having 1 or 2 types of schooling fish in there.

IMO you get a better visual effect, especially since the schooling fish you chose occupy the same relative area of the tank most of the time.

This is a great point! I do prefer many different fish to just one or two schools, but that is my preference, not how it should be done. Basically, there are a gazillion ways you could do it. It comes down to how you want it, and what kinds of fish you like. Some people love danios, some people hate 'em. Some love community fish and some would have nothing but aggressive fish. Have fun with it, find what you like and go for it:clap:!!! Oh yeah, pictures are a must lol!!!

I'm glad the filtering will be good. I think I got a great deal off CL The tank with lid and light(it even works! yay!) plus both filters, gravel, background, heater, air thing (drawing a black at what its called lol) and tank decorations all for $25! I think this is a steal myself. The only thing is that the opening part of the lid doesnt attach to the rest of the lid but I can live with that Hahaha. Oh and it was a bit dirty but its clean and ready to be set up!

I would like some suggestions on bottem feeders ( I may or may not put some in)
Thanks again and I am camera happy so there will be pics a plenty! =D

Oh and I like many different fish too!

Bristlenose plecos are awesome!!! You could definitely get one in a 29 gallon.

corydoras are my favorite!
Can have a fairly large group of them and they are very active and fun to watch

Your setup sounds fine, and 6 to 10 neons would be great, bristlenose or other small plecos would look good. Also, cory cats would work for the most part, Dwarfs, pandas, emerald etc.... just keep in mind if you get corys, they like to be in groups too...

Thanks for the help! I cant wait to set it up!!! But I have too... I live way out in the country with no car so I have to wait and catch a ride. lol I still need a few things from town so Blah!
