um, i hate be a jerk but i have figured it out, he doesnt mess with the minnows because there at one time was a larger cray that got crushed almost literally by the minnows but he ocassionally does chase the pleco, but the pleco hides on the shelf where the cray cant get him
It doesn't matter if the cray catches the minnow, it is very stressful to your fish, and they won't live a full life. You need o get them out of that tank. What are your plans on upgrading the tank for your clown pleco?
I think 10 gallon tank is to small for anything.
I wouldn't put fish in anything smaller than a 20 gallon or larger.
Price shouldn't be a issue since you plan on taking care of a living fish, you want them healthy and to look nice.
If you can clean a 10 gallon, it's easier to clean a larger tank.
Also, if you like fish enough to want them to be happy, you can get more fish with a larger sized tank or stay with fish that don't get any larger than 1" there's lots of fish out there that are that size.
I liked Jaguar Cichlids, but I wouldn't keep one in a 29 gallon tank.
So I stock my 29 gallon with fish that stay less than 2" and they are all healthy and happy.
Good idea to come here and ask about your stocking, but I think you should have asked first before you stocked..
