One thing you can do is get 2 different type bulbs. Like for instance make one a grow bulb then the other a colormax bulb. I believe the colormax bulbs are near 10,000k which isn't ideal for the plants but sure make the color of your fish pop. Since you aren't going to have a under powered issue with even 1 bulb this might be a good idea for you.
