Is this water safe to use?

I have 2 gallons of "drinking water" that you buy at the store that I wanted to use for my tanks. Do I have to put dechlorinator in it? And it sat in the car for a few days (it gets pretty hot in there), would that affect the water for fish?

Because I bought it so I could have more gallon jugs (I use the jugs to fill with water for WC's) and we don't need the water to drink, so I wanted to use it for something.

If there's nothing on the label that says it is or isn't chlorinated, i would use some just to be safe.

You might want to aerate it a bit before putting it in the tank. I bet everything has been degassed out of it.

Well, 2 things: just make sure the temp matches (you probably know this) and it would be a good idea to test the ph because it might be way off from your ph in the tank and this might cause problems if the tank is small.
