Is your aquarium "under arrest" (up against the wall) or freestanding?

I was wondering how everyone displays their tank(s). My 55 gallon is freestanding in the living room. When I'm on the computer, my back is to the tank, so all I have to do is turn around and I can see right through the tank and across the room :) The ten gallon hex with the blue/red betta is directly across the room, but is near the wall. Sorta balances the room having one on each side. I prefer being able to look right through a tank. How 'bout you? :girl:

I would prefer that but don't really have the room. Plus my bedroom is kinda dark so it wouldn't work without a window nearby.

My 55 is freestanding along side my desk. I look right and its RIGHT THERE. It is kinda under arrest because the sliding doors are behind it which make it nice because I can go out and work from the back of tank. I have a solid color light blue backing because I dont like to be able to see through the tank.

mine is against the wall but only b/c i live in an apt so i don't have any room to have it freestanding. it's also a little small. i think if i had a 90gl or so i would put it behind a couch that was in the center of the room, kind of like where a sofa table would go. but i'll have to wait until i get a house and a 90gl! haha! :)

my 180 is built into the wall between my living room and dining room
my 75 gal is built into the wall in my bedroom
and my (2) 55 gallons are up against the wall
one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen

oh yeah my kids 20 gal is up against the wall in there bedroom

mike :) :)
