Is your aquarium "under arrest" (up against the wall) or freestanding?

Up against the wall you redneck mother...errr tank!

:)

Small living room (where the fishies live) so the only way!

If I lean waaaay back and look I can see them from my den (fancy word for the spare bedroom where the computer and book and stuff are!)

Until my garage is completely finished they are free standing of sorts. All but one tank is located on the bar area of my kitchen counter.

My ray tank (300 gallon) is freestanding but wont remain so, as it will be replaced by a 1000 gallon unit that my lfs is waiting for a stand to arrive. That will replaced the centerpiece tank when my remodeling is done. Than all the other tanks will line the walls of the garage.

Mine are under arrest due to space issues at the moment, but I'd like to do a nice big freestanding tank in the future.

Mine is under arrest, and I do mean ARRESTED!

The doors of the cabinet are double locked with a key lock.
The top is covered with a wood canopy that we are working on now to bolt it to the wall and the top lid will be key locked as well.

Ahhh,
life with a pirate!

While I was painting in my daughters room a couple days ago I heard sort of a gushy sprinkly water sound. I thought what is that?
And then I was like OH NO>
My ten year old son who is mentally handicapped had reached the outlet spraybar on my Rena XP3. Let's just say one of those could flood your living room carpet in NO TIME. water going everywhere and he was waving it around and screaming with glee LOL

Thus the canopy project.....
We just finished bolting our furniture to the floor a few weeks ago....

:shark:

On another note, how do those who have free standing tanks arrange all the cords, tubes ect to look nice?

I think that would be cool to put it free standing, our living room is rectangular shaped, kinda long, and would be a nice break in the middle.
But I think Captain Hook and his crew would push it over

My smaller tanks are freestanding and my larger ones are under arrest. That is the only way I feel that they are safe with the weight that they carry.
