I think the 'electrolytes' thing is a marketing sham, adding benefical 'electrolytes' is just another fancy term for adding anything that conducts electricity. Does anyone disagree?

No GobyGuy5, I agree with you whole heartedly. I have 50 plus tanks and I only use salt when it is needed for treatment of some ailment or when the fish are brackish water in origin. Other then that the only fish I put salt with are the ones on my plate that I intend to eat. Why so many people think it is nescesary is beyond me. I guess it is one of those myths that will never die.
