I have a tremendous abundance of isopod colonies. Usually when I clean my filter out weekly I find at least a dozen of them that have fallen through. At night my rocks are extremely alive with them everywhere you look. My question is can the population be too much? I don't prefer to add a mandarin fish to my tank at this point but if the population is detrimental for some reason then I will probably do that since I can't net the little guys. :D

The population will only grow as large as the food source permits. So if you have a bunch of them, then you have a bunch of detritus that they are eating.
