You also have to realize though, that if Bin Laden had nukes, he still couldn't have used them for 9/11. The whole idea of it was that we never expected it in a million years. If he'd sent a nuke over, we would've caught it WAY before it got to our country and disposed of it before it was any real danger to us.
Plus the fact that even if some rogue country used a nuke on someone else, the retaliation wouldn't be nuclear. The world would just respond with a whole mess of conventional weapons.

As for overseas, I doubt it. How about all those masses of people chanting "death to America" we see on the news. How about the Iranian "hostage crisis"?

There are ones that do support the extremist movements and are disrupting our society as we speak.
A couple of years ago one was arrested in the Peoria area. He was stealing identities and tapping into peoples credit cards and bank accounts and funneling the money to AlQuida (SP??). I am certainly not in favour of any country having nuclear weapons, period. Unfortunately there is a need for them, so long as they exist in one country, all others are going to want them. Having a nuclear weapon is akin to having the big kid on your dodgeball team in grade school, the fact that Afghanistan and Iraq have both been invaded would have me pretty nervous if I were in charge of Iran. That would mean either bowing to a foreign power or finding some way quick of guaranteeing that they stay the heck away.
Now as much as you folks may not enjoy the concept of people saying go home infadels, or die infadels, consider what you would be saying if the situation were reversed and Canada and Mexico had just been invaded by a force that overwhelms you militarily, and all signs pointed towards you being next.
Again, I'm not in any way supporting Iran in obtaining Nukes, and was with you right up to the ' "religeon" ' comment. It's really easy to sit back and call people madmen and terrorists, but it wasn't that long ago that the British Empire was saying the same of your Independance fighters. I'm in no way supporting terrorism, I think it's horrible, but I also think that if the problem is ever going to be solved there is some serious need of perspective.
