Israel will attack Iran 'only as last resort'

:OT: but thought I'd say.
I work at a call center.
A lot of my customers (99% of them being Americans) think that once they speak to a representative with an accent, they are in India.
When really, they're here in Canada.
We have a lot of East Indians working at call centers here, but automatically are assumed to be in India.

Most muslims, even inside Iran, are not jumping on the wagon to go out and kill infidels. They are just people like you and me, ....
Do you remember the Iranian hostage situation? Do you remember the news on TV back then? Those people over 'there' are not like me at all...

No way.

If I was like them, I'd get one of their flags.. chant "death", jump up and down and burn their flag..

..

There's too much hatred for America it seems, and I think the dictators around the world fuel that hatred; they get their people to believe it.
Guess I might be missing the big picture as to why America could be at fault - and bringing this hatred upon itself.

Remember just recently all the uninformed were protesting "No War for Oil!"

Oh... how wrong they were/are.. :thud:

America is seen as the worlds policeman, and rightly so. Whether or not the reasons were monetarily or politicaly motivated, America has stood up for the little guy and the underdog. Where would this world be without this policman? God bless America.

However, many countries and 'people groups' do not appreciate a more powerful entity stepping in on their affairs. It doesn't matter to them whether they are just or unjust, to them they do not need justification to do what they feel driven to do.

It is an interesting real life experiment in my eyes. In todays post-modern moral relevance, there are no absolutes. It is Ok for you to do what you want to do, and it is Ok for me to do what I want to do. In order to keep the peace though, we need a standard of right and wrong to measure injustice against. And a standard cannot be a double standard, or it is no standard at all. I will sit on the sidelines and watch to see how it all plays out.

.

I agree...
And I will also let this topic go....

It's almost the new "rage" to bash America.
America's "system" is not perfect, but I'm so glad I don't have to live under a dictatorship.

If all of humanity would stop pouring it's money into supporting armys and weapons, and would instead bring all of the planet up to the standard of living of most Americans we could cease all of this horrible waste of life and resources.

We should be joining hands and inhabiting other worlds instead of fearing and hating one another. Bring the problems of Earth under as much scrutiny as we do other countries. Solve hunger, global warming, threatened habitat and species, cure diseases, etc.

My lord, do you realize that we have the ability to have cures that kill millions if we only poured money into research instead of fleets and missiles?

One day, if humanity survives that long, we will look back on this time in disgust and embarassment.

And every country shares in that blame.

Sorry.

<---Reads a lot of Carl Sagan.

Watcher, I believe that all you said is true. However, I don't think it will ever happen because human nature is fallen. Ever heard the saying "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely"?

It's why I trust in Jesus and not in man.

Um, guys, have you forgotten the sticky at the top of the forum?
Good point.

I started this Thread as I thought it was very newsworthy....
There are several hotspots worth watching..

Anyone with a Lock and want to use it, feel free.
Yes... I can see how this topic can 'get out of hand'.
;)

Not really worth locking at this point, but this kind of thread always seems to cause bad behavior.

It's almost the anniversary of the Big Meltdown of '04.
