How many people here are Hockey fans? And where are you from and what team do you like?

We're excited for the Avs!! I'm not a sports fan.. at all. Hate watching any sport on TV, but actually GOING to a game is a whole 'nother deal! Hockey is by far the best to go see in person! People are insane at hockey games.

Plus... there was that one time I was groped by Howler on my way to get a beer. Who doesn't love a huggy, handsy team mascot??

I'm a fan of the Rangers. I know, sometimes it's hard to admit because of they're instability but whether they win or lose, Doll is a fan. I'm from Jersey...

My favorite team too.

Ive always loved the game, been playing since I was 7, but lately the NHL has not been exciting at all. Hopefully the new rules fix that.

Being from Southern Alberta, it's gotta be Flames all the way! Have missed the NHL, but we have season tickets to our local junior team (go Hurricanes!) so we managed to get our hockey fix irregardless....

Well, I'm a Red Wings fan, but I am a little turned off by whatever it was going on last year. I don't care enough to follow it, but I know thats going to hurt them a bit. Always fun to go to a game though, its the one sport I actually like watching.

Well the Penguins lost, but I have two things to say, WOW that Devils Goalie is good, wow. And Mario has no business on the ice he was good at one time but at the age of 40 he has slown down you could see it he could not keep up with the other player.

And the Rangers won.

I only caught the tail end of the game (i had class tonight) but I thought the game seemed considerably faster, with the bigger rink and the new holding rules. Quite a few goals too, which certainly makes it more exciting.

That is one thing I did not like, more points, I like low score games (1-0 0-1 1-1 1-2 2-1) more then 3 points in a game i don't like much. And what the heck with dropping the rule about crossing the 2 lines on a pass WTF?!?!?!?!? why did they mess with the rules, I liked them the why they were, and not a singal fight tonight, that is one of my favorit parts, blood on the ice.

When I played as a kid I lost plently of blood (a puck to the head will do that for you nicely)
