A bit of a long story but i'll try to cut it short
I purchased a Juwel rio 180 from my local garden centre and had to keep it in the garage for a while to make room in the house. Anyway i came to fill it up and as i filled i saw water trickle out one of the courners, how odd i thought so i pumped the water back out looked in the courner and nothing seemed wrong so started filling again and the same trickle out the same courner so i took the tank back explaining my problem and they said they couldn't replace it because they were out of stock, so i got my money back. In the meantime my dad remembered he had a 40gal long in the loft so we dug it out and filled it in the garage to check for leaks which after sitting up in loft which has temps that reach -5 in the winter and 40 in the summer we felt sure the seals would have given up anyway we filled it to the top and not a drop leaked! A 30 year old tank still water tight! wow! so my dad kindly donated the tank to me and with the money i get back ive ordered an Eheim Ecco 2234, a rena cal 300w heater, digital thermo, and 3 sheets of background. Of course ive still got to buy the juwel Rio 240 cabinet a UV and a lighting hood. which should be another £250. i'll post pictures when its set up probably still another month away yet. should be a good setup
