It's Vacation Time

I have 2 African tanks. One is a peacock/hap mix, the other mbunas. I'll be going on vacation soon for 8-10 days. Am I better off

1- Leaving the tanks alone, no lights, no feeding, no nothing until I return
or
2- Having someone who knows nothing about fish put on the lights on the tank and put food in the tank daily,

What would you do??? (I'm going on vacation, so staying home is NOT an option) :dance:

get a good auto feeder for both tanks and use timers for the lights.

I have done this many times (buisness needs). I feed well for a week before I leave. I do a major water change the day before I leave. I drop temp to about 74 so their metabalism is slowed too.

When I come back I feed them well again.


So far so good. Have done this for years.
