I've got nano fry!

A pair of my nanos has been acting unusually aggressive towards their tankmates, so I figured they were close to spawning. I've been thinking about pulling more of the nanos out to give the pair privacy but haven't gotten around to it. Tonight, after feeding, I noticed not only have they spawned, but I've got free swimmers! I am going to leave this batch and see how many make it. I'd love to raise a bunch of these little guys out and get them to more people in the hobby, they're such awesome looking fish. The video is not great, but they're tiny still.

Congrats! Nanoluteus are a CARES fish and need to be bred and kept within the hobby. Your plan to spread them around to others is exactly what is needed to save these fish from total extinction.

Way to go Ally! That's exactly what happened when mine spawned the first time, a bit of aggression then all of a sudden there were fry swimming around. Those breeding colors are really something, aren't they? Btw if anybody's interested I have a couple from my last spawn that I need to move!

Thanks guys! The breeding colors are amazing. I've got a couple more pairs forming in the 180g now. The fry are doing well, not sure how many there are, somewhere between 10-20.
