Well I've been lucky lately, first of all I was going to use my 75 gal for a planted tank, but then a guy from my work is giving away a 30g corner tank complete with stand and canopy for free! I'm gonna ask him about it. So I'm gonna use this for my first planted tank, then use the 75g for either a oscar, or a cichlid tank, haven't decided yet. Wish me luck! Would use guys help me put together a stocking list for the 30g planted. I would like a school of neons and glowlights. Any suggestions on tankmates?

Wow, that's really lucky. At my LFS they want an empty 30g, just the tank, for 115$ + tax, lol.

Cories! They love planted tanks. If you got about five of them they would be very happy to live in a planted 30. If cories don't float your boat you can go for a rubber lipped plec. Maybe a single dwarf gourami for the centerpiece- that is a strong maybe considering the glowlights and neons- might be too much action going on depending on what you end up getting as a schooling fish.

maybe a bolivian ram as center piece. ALso good plants to try would be wisteria, anubias, lutea, brazilian pennywort.
