I've joined the dark side. Soon to be manager of the Petland Lancaster fish dep.

like some one said earlier give them a coupon so when they come back for the fish you can give them the media then so if something happens and they can not come back for some time the bacteria does not die

right now the fish staff consists of me. When i'm not there one of the other depts get the fish. I try to be there almost everyday. When might you be passing through? I'll be aloud to hire on another person once sales pick up a little bit. But i've got to get a nice looking area before that will happen.

:) That's understandable. Gotta justify the expense of another salary.
As to when, can't say for certain. Never know exactly where I'm headin next. I sometimes drop a trailer in Reading, Pa. bound for Canada. (it helps some of the northern most drivers get home) If my next is heading S - S/W, with a couple of hrs. to spare, I might can run 222 thru your town. (I gotta justify expenses too. Diesel = $$$$) Not real familiar w/ the area & having a T/L over 75' & over 13' H, there are limits to where I can legally & or physically travel or park. No worries though, I'm not bringing the 'white gloves' yet. :grinyes::grinyes: It'll be strictly for moral support. I'll try to PM you if it looks doable. In the meantime, keep up the great work & don't hesitate to network or brainstorm. "T"

I'm curious - where do you order the fish from? Do they give you a list of sellers and what they carry? I've always wondered about that.

As for the cycled media, why not make it free with a purchase of a full set up? You know if someone buys the tank, cabinet, lights etc., say something like free with purchase of $150 or more or something along those lines.

hmm thats a good idea, free with purchase. Or a coupon like someone suggested so that way they have a chance to set it up first. I have a list of wholesalers they currently use. But i am aloud to find others. Right now its Nautilis marine, secrest farms, and quality tropical fish.

:eek::eek: :wall: Just realized Lancaster, Oh. not Pa. Even less familiar although I do hit Columbus occasionally. Usually run 70 E/W between In. & Pa. Guess you're about 30/35mi south ???

How is your Fish Department coming along? Keep us posted. I'm so curious as to what goes on behind the scenes at an LFS.
