For pure bone deep ugly, nothing can touch the Elephant Nose. They look like a rotten banana with a permanently protuberant tongue, or maybe a legless rodent smoking a joint.

My vote is for the Blood Parrot as well, it doesn't even really look like an able-bodied "fish"!
I feel sorry for blood parrots everytime i see them. I guess the saying is true "A face only a mother could love"
I'd have to go with those tiny parasitic catfish from the amazon that swim up your urethra if you urinate in the water.
I'm not sure the Violet Goby is the ugliest, but it's right up there. Have you seen the head of this one up close????
Someone also mentioned 'fancy' Goldfish, and well they just don't look right and swim like there's a real big problem going on! The bloated eyeballs on some of them is horrific looking!
Maybe the more bloated and distorted looking those things get, the fancier they are. I can't figure that one out....
