These are my 2 JDs a in 125g community tank. They seem to be best buddies. Bought them like a year ago as juveniles so have grown up together. Idk if they have paired up or just tolerate each other. They never fight. Where one goes the other is right behind. Usually it’s the one with the bump on his head right behind the other who I assume is a female. This one seems to be doing some sort of courtship but idk. I’ve added lots of fish to their home. Recently I added 3 Severums. They won’t chase or nip any others, only the severums. Any other fish can come right up to them, no issue. A good 20 fish in the tank, peacocks, haps, labs, all Africans aside from the severums.

2 questions - is this a male and female? Thoughts on why they don’t like the severums? Should I take them out?
