jack dempsey with goldfish

Oh shoot sorry I thought we were talking about a 75 gallon for some reason. 100 gallons should be ok for them all. My main concern is the temp difference and the stock level thats a pretty hefty stock with the goldfish alone.

if i need to i can move the goldfish to my outdoor pond

IMO you've hit the nail on the head there, Then you can get a couple heaters (its best to have two incase one fails) up the temp and get some nice tankmates to go in there with him:) .

Steve.

Yep thats what I would do!

okay then ill probably move them this weekend
do i need to change the ph or anything or do gf and jd have the same parameters

My JD's don't even look at goldfish; feeder minnows on the other hand:eek3:

A Friend gave me some feeder Goldies left-over from his Oscars. They swam/schooled with the Giant Danios also in the tank, JD's just ignored them.

Finally got rid of them (another fishie friend has a pond) when they got to 4 inches long...

My goldfish have been doing fine with all the J.D. baby but now they are getting bigger & have stressed one of the goldfish out & he won't eat:'(
What do I do?

Remove the goldfish. For several reasons noted above in this (old) thread, those two fish are not really compatible in the same tank, and you are seeing the results.

It should have been better if you create a new thread. There is also some compatibility issue even with this species so make sure to do research before putting them in a single tank.
