Jack Dempsey x Freddy Cichlid

My largest male Jack Dempsey 10.5in killed his female the other day :wall:
In the time since he has became extremely aggressive to the female blood parrot, but not the Parachromis friedrichsthalii (freddy cichlid). She's a
Proven female and seems to follow my male Jack all around and flares up with him then she gets very deep coloring. My question is will I have to worry about a Parachromis friedrichsthalii x Nandopsis octofasciatum?

Hmmmm.....good question. I don't believe I've ever heard of a JD crossing with anything from the Parachromis genus but you never know.

Sounds like it's up to the JD. The Parachromis seems to want it.

Well I'd much rather fine a pure male Parachromis friedrichsthalii and breed it with the female, you don't find many pure breed Parachromis species in the hobby now every cross the Parachromis families together, anyone know where I can get a male friedrichsthalii in MI? Lol

THANKS! found a F1 male with great coloring! I'm going to set up a new 75 and keep them alone in it should make a great pair!

I feel really bad for my female she came down with the swim bladder disease and couldn't swim right even for food She died not to long ago, I'm selling the male to a local friend of mine who has a female I suppose, I dont want this guy going to waste, thanks GER I had forgotten I posted this.
