That's awesome. Don't know too much about them- do you have to remove them or will they not attempt to eat them?
they will protect them, although the male doesnt seen very interested in staying around the spawn site..he may be removed
Dan if your Jags are anything like mine, they will
tolerate the fry for about 14-i8 days untill they
come in to spawning mode again, then they will
eat them to make way for a new batch.
You'll find that once your Jags have started spawning,
that there is no stopping them, they are baby making machines, lol.
Congrats on the spawn, but if you want to save some of the fry?
I would remove them to a grow out tank at around 10 days.

thanks mickey, i've always kept fry with the parents..but yeah in this case they will probably be moved..i do have a 30 gallon fry tank..looks like im going to have to get that ready, lol
