I just received an Eheim Jager 150W (model 3606) aquarium heater. I currently own a 200W Jager. This recent purchase is to replace another 150W that has a leak.

The instructions in my new Jager 150W tell me not to submerse the heater below the water level line. Is this true or a type-o? The diagram even shows the top of the heater sticking out of the aquarium.

My other Jager does not say this and has been fully submersed for a few years.

I have the same question, why the blazes does it say submersible if the wire can't go in the water. :mad2: :rant2:
