hey totally agreed! It will not budge once it found its favorite hiding spots, despite many attempts from other fish to get in the favorite hole. I had to resort hand feeding few of them myself to make sure they eat. I had a 5'' shove out a 10'' raphael out of its pvc pipe because it liked it there. Those guys are all about their hiding spots.

I agree 100%. mine never comes out of hiding, i use a feeding rod with krill/shrimp to feed mine.It seems my lionfish(yes, they can live a long life in FW)likes the same hole in the stump. Im sure it has been stung by the lionfish but still refuses to move out of the stump..

Probably you are referring to FW or perhaps brackish Stone/Toad Fish, not a Pterois Sp???

Pics of your so called F/W Lionfish possible? Athough familiar with S/W StoneFish but never had kept f/w specimen. Very curious of what specimen you have/had???
