java fern flowering..?

is it called flowering i donno but i have a large java fern i've had for over a year . its sprouted little ones before i scraped them off and planted them and they grew good but now its crazy how many there is. so my question is if i leave them on the main plant will they rot and die, or just slowly fall off and get stuck on the intake? aldo will the main plant die after ? i've noticed a bit more than normal big leaves falling off

the big leaves on the mother plant will naturally turn brown and die with age. and the baby plants will fall off naturally 2 but r likley to get stuck in the intake. it doesnt hurt to cut them off when there like 1-2 inches or more long. its not called flowering, thats just how they reproduce asexually

I would just remove and toss what plantlets you don't want otherwise you'll have them everywhere.The plant won't die after either, it will just continue to grow

I generally let mine fall off on their own and let them float for a few days before planting.

Also, my mother plants have been hit-or-miss with browning. Not all of them seem to die off after releasing the baby plants.
