I've been noticing my java fern leaves coming in translucent like this. They usually end up all right. But it's not normal is it? Makes me think it's lacking something. But what?

Thanks!

That's how mine start out as well. I always thought it was normal. Can't wait to hear more responses...

Dose dry ferts?

THANKS! Yes, I have read since I posted that this is normal. I found other info. that I need to address though.

I read the below on another forum and that is going on with my older bigger ferns too.

Should I be dosing dry ferts? I have been told that if I dose dry ferts with that light and no co2 my alage will get worse. And I all ready have bba problems.

If I remember right, if you get to zero N, the java ferns will let the big leaves die and start new little leaves and try to propogate. Help! We're out of nutrients!
