java fern reproduction

i have all these little brown spots which sarem indicated were plantlets. how long do these take to turn into actual plants? heres a pic here:

mine just did it at random. You will know its reproducing when it gets brown hair looking (fingers) lol. I asked this question once when i was a newbie to plants and thats how i could think to describe them. After the leaves will start to show, i left mine a while and then pinched them off and planted.

The brown dots are spores but my javas really reproduce best at the edges of the leaves & along the rhizome. I think the filter gets the fertilized spores but I'm not sure.

so if we do have these spores? should we leave it alone or take it off?

Leave it alone, I just let my java fern do its own thing. When I see a small plantlet about an inch long at the end of one of the leaves then I pull it off and plant it somewhere else.

I usually let mine detatch on their own.
