Couple weird things going on in my tanks! Hopefully you guys (or girls) can help me out.

In a plant grow-out tank I set up the java fern is going yellow and holes in the leaves. I found this weird because this is such a hardy plant. I added a good amount of fertilizer to see if that helps. Could I be overfertilizing it possibly? Not sure what has caused this. Large temp change, now in colder water (unheated tank)?

Also in my largest tank I have an amazon sword that I thought was ech. parviflorus. At first the leaves were are all round and and about 2" in diameter. Now all the new leaves are straight from the base, about 1" across. Does this sound weird?

The leaves have similar shape to this one, except mostly straight up and all green.

Not sure if this helps but im my expierience with the java fern...its istn the prettiest of the plants, mine tend to have some "spots on the leaves every so often. Now im not an expert, but my moneywort plant started out looking lilly like...one stem with a bigger round leaf growing towords the surface...one week after i put it in the tank it started growing more leaves and now it has surned into more of a vine looking plant...with multiple leaves per stem...and much smaller leaves than before. I know wisteria can do the same...under lower light the leaves are smaller and round and under high light they kind of open up and the leaves get longer and thinner...so it may have something to do with the lighting you are using.

ok heres how my wisteria looks:

and this is how it can look with high lighting:
