I got my new 5 gallon that will house 1 betta and 2-3 ADFs. I have silk plants in there but was wondering if I could have some java moss in there. I have no special lighting at all. Just the bulb that came with the aquarium. (it is an aquarium bulb just not for plants). I heard that java moss can grow in little to no light so please help me on this! Much appreciated!!! :thm:

The light that came with your 5 gallon tank hood is most likely an incandescent, I believe. I've heard from someone before that they're able to keep java moss alive and slowly growing in something as small as a betta bowl without any lighting. I've never tried it before so I wouldn't know for sure but I DID buy 2 clumps from my LFS today and added them to my betta tank and 1 gallon tank so I'll know sooner or later.
