how long can java moss be shipped for like in a container with water?

It is very hardy. I wouldn't put it in water though. Without nutrients and light, it would rot. If you are trying to ship it, put it in a clump and wrap it in a pice of damp newspaper, then place it in a double ziplock bag, but breathe in it <CO2> to inflate halfway. zthen stick the baggie in an old plastic VHS tape box, then put in envelope or small box, and mark it VHS tape....lol As you can see, I ship a lot overseas. Make sure there is enough water in the newspaper and on the fronds to keepit nice and humid, but not to have water collect in the bottom of the bag as that would promote rot. I hope it helps.
