How do you keep it green and lushfull? I have a lot of brown stuffs all in it. I try to shake/stir it up but I just can't seem to get it all nice and purtyfull green.

I have never grown it well either, not sure why, I have great light on all my tanks. I think its the water.

I've learned with java moss that if you tie it down it grows much better..also it takes time to "establish" itself in the tank..once it has it simply takes off...another thing is to do what bk828 said to do and give it a cut..nothing serious just a short snipping..maybe snip off the brown parts...and one of the biggest "secrets" to growing java moss nice a green........leave it alone....honestly if you leave it alone it will grow if you touch it and try and "fix" it and what not it doesn't grow..just my 2 cents

no ferts added tank...plenty of lighting (65w) and it is anchored to a piece of driftwood. it is really bushy i must say. i have had it for some spell now. it could just be garbage all intertwined in it. it seems to really lock stuff in.
