JBJ 12 Gallon?

I have 12 hours to purchase a 12 Gallon JBJ system. I've heard mostly positive but some negative feedback on it.
The negative is that it has had rumors to randomly crack? Can anybody clear this up for me before i make a critical mistake.

Personally I have never had one. I looked at them once but decided to do a standard 10 gal as I could customise it more to my likeing. I think that at one point I heard something about the problem of cracks being fixed with a new material or design but please don't quote me on that.

I have one and the only problem I have is the heat issue. I also have an extra light retro'd in. I replaced the pump with a maxijet 1200 to give it more flow. Other than that, I like mine a lot.
Here's a closeup view of it. It's an older model dx. The newer ones have the moon lights.

My tank is in my basement and i live in colorado so i might not have that problem.
