JBJ Pico 3 Plants

Hey everyone.

I'm trying to see what my options are plantwise for this tank.

So far I have some anubis and some star moss on the way but I was wondering if I could pull off something like riccia or hc.

Anyone have any experience with this...I'm looking for other options to.

Let me know what you think

Also I'm getting some Fissidens fontanus and some Nymphoi indica

You should be able to pull off some Java fern as well. Maybe even Bolbitis. It only gets 12" tall and has very attractive leaves and color.

its only 8 in tall so that wont work to well but thanks for the advice

Depends on the lighting for HC.

well its a 9w with reflector so thats roughly 3w/gallon right.

whats the minimum for those?

I cant say for sure, as I have never grown HC.

I'm kinda a plant guy. With larger tanks, you have more wattage, but the light that is sent out is also stronger.

In your situation, I would say no to HC, but, you might be able to pull off Riccia, if you are having serious problems with it, then try putting it higher in the tank, or even floating.
